VTuber Concerts Concentrate at Pia Arena MM, K-Pop Artists Also Make Frequent Appearances

Pia Arena MM, located in Minatomirai, Nishi Ward, Yokohama City, has garnered attention in recent years as a premier venue for large-scale live events across various genres. Notably, it has become a focal point for solo concerts by talents from the VTuber group “Hololive Production,” in addition to hosting a wide array of events such as K-Pop artists' Asia tours and domestic music festivals. This concentration of events has led to comments on social media like “Isn't Pia Arena MM hosting a lot?” and “Pia Arena MM is seriously hosting so many solo concerts lol.”

One of the biggest topics is the announcement that Hololive’s AZKi will hold her solo concert, “AZKi SOLO LiVE 2025 'Departure',” at Pia Arena MM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. This grand stage in a roughly 10,000-capacity arena, coupled with the simultaneous release of her new EPs “Re:Start” and “Re:Birth” and the unveiling of her new song “from A to Z (Re:arrange ver.),” has fueled high expectations among fans. Prior to this, it was also decided that Nekomata Okayu’s 2nd live concert, “Persona Respect,” held at the same venue on May 28 this year, would be broadcast on television for the first time, highlighting the strong connection between Hololive and Pia Arena MM.

Furthermore, from the K-Pop scene, D-LITE of BIGBANG will perform at Pia Arena MM on August 30 as part of his “D-LITE 2025 ASIA TOUR [D’s WAVE] IN JAPAN,” and MONSTA X will also hold “2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X Japan Concert” at the same venue on August 28. Additionally, SHINee's Taemin is scheduled to perform at Pia Arena MM on September 14 as part of his arena tour, underscoring the reality that international artists are increasingly choosing this venue as a base for their Japanese performances.

In the domestic music scene, large-scale events across all genres are lining up, such as “PIA MUSIC COMPLEX 2025” scheduled for October 4. With a continuous string of Hololive solo concerts at Pia Arena MM in 2025, including Shirakami Fubuki (February 13), Nekomata Okayu (May 28), Ookami Mio (September 10), and AZKi (November 19), fans have even started making posts titled “Pia Arena MM Battle Records” to speculate on ticket lottery win probabilities.

Pia Arena MM, boasting a capacity of approximately 12,000 people, is expected to see even more activity in the future as a premier event venue for top domestic and international artists and popular content, thanks to its prime location and scale.
