NHK, Japan's public broadcaster, announced on March 18 that it had inadvertently sent an email to approximately 33,000 registered users of its information system, making recipients' email addresses visible to one another. This incident has sparked a torrent of criticism on social media, with netizens questioning the public broadcaster's security awareness, challenging the reception fee system, and even demanding its dismantling.
