McDonald's Japan to Discontinue Paper Straws, Introduce Strawless Lids for Cold Drinks
McDonald's Japan announced on October 27, 2025, that it will cease providing paper straws from November 19 of the same year. Cold beverage paper cup lids will be gradually replaced with a type designed for direct drinking without a straw.
