TOEIC Impersonation Scandal: Three Arrested for Exploiting Postal Code System in Organized Scheme
Three Chinese nationals have been arrested in connection with an organized impersonation scheme during the TOEIC English proficiency test. The suspects are believed to have exploited a system where test venues are assigned based on postal codes, using a method that involved applying for 44 test-takers from a single address. According to investigative sources, the three arrested individuals are suspected of fraudulently taking the exam at a test center in Shinjuku Ward, using admission tickets bearing other people's photographs.
