Tear Gas-Like Substance Sprayed at Shibuya Hikarie Restaurant Floor, Several Injured
Around 1:30 PM on the 23rd, an incident occurred where a tear gas-like substance was sprayed on a restaurant floor of Shibuya Hikarie, a large-scale commercial complex in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. As a result, many visitors reported pain in their eyes and nose, and throat discomfort, with a maximum of 17 to 18 people reporting feeling unwell. According to the Tokyo Fire Department, several individuals were transported to the hospital, but all were conscious and their lives are not in danger. The incident is believed to have primarily taken place in areas lined with restaurants on the 6th and 7th floors, as well as near a resting space.
