Ultraman Zero Cosmorize Revealed: A New Form and Transformation Device for the Iconic Hero

On the 11th, Bandai and Tsuburaya Productions unveiled details for "Ultraman Zero Cosmorize," a striking new form for the popular character Ultraman Zero, alongside his new transformation item, the "DX Ultrise Eye." A special movie is scheduled for release on YouTube in the summer of 2026, and the announcement has already ignited significant buzz across social media.

The newly revealed "Zero Cosmorize" features a simple yet powerful design based on red and silver, departing from Zero's typical complex aesthetic. Fans have expressed surprise and admiration, with comments such as "He looks just like the original Ultraman" and "The simplicity makes it look so cool." In this form, Zero can reportedly perform a variety of attacks, including summoning previous Ultramen, by attaching and operating the "Ultrise Eye" on the "Ultrise Bracelet" worn on his left arm.

Regarding the toy release, the "DX Ultrise Eye" will feature system voices recorded by "voyager," the musical unit famous for performing many Ultraman theme songs. The device also boasts high play value, featuring transformation gimmicks for five of Zero's most popular forms, such as Ultimate Zero and Zero Beyond.

Pre-orders are currently open on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon, with a "Ultra Cosmo Record Card" included as a limited-edition bonus. Meanwhile, fan speculation is reaching a fever pitch regarding the lore, with debates over who the human host will be and whether the form will be a physical suit or a CG model, further building anticipation for the 2026 release.

The context

Ultraman Zero, first introduced in 2009, is the son of the legendary Ultraseven and has become one of the most popular and prominent figures in the long-running Ultraman franchise. Created by Tsuburaya Productions, the series is a cornerstone of Japanese "tokusatsu" (special effects) entertainment. Unlike many other heroes who remain tied to a single TV series, Zero has appeared across numerous movies and spin-offs, often serving as a mentor to younger heroes. The musical group "voyager" mentioned in the article is the official musical unit for the franchise, having performed numerous openings and endings for the "New Generation" era of Ultraman shows.
