Fans Shaken by Ominous Trailer and NCT 127 YUTA Theme Song for Upcoming "Kamen Rider Zetz" Movie

The official poster and trailer for the upcoming movie Kamen Rider Zetz: Goodbye Mission (premiering July 24, 2026, alongside Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity: The Day the Sun Cried) have been released. The shocking developments teased in the trailer have already sparked massive buzz across social media.

What has shaken fans the most is the ominous subtitle, "Goodbye Mission" (Sayonara no Mission). Veering away from the franchise's usual English-heavy naming style, this haunting Japanese subtitle has triggered a wave of anxiety and anticipation, with fans commenting, "This is too ominous," and "Is it really goodbye?" The trailer shows the protagonist Zero and The Lady fastening belts to their chests, as well as Baku holding a seemingly lifeless Nox. This has already ignited intense speculation about the fate of the secondary Rider, Kamen Rider Nox, and whether major characters will survive.

In addition, it was announced that the movie's theme song will be "Dreams Never Sleep," a new track by YUTA (Yuta Nakamoto), a member of the globally acclaimed group NCT 127. Fans flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating with comments like, "This is going to be the best summer ever!" and "Congratulations!" The song features lyrics by Seiko Fujibayashi, a veteran of numerous tokusatsu tracks, and music by Hi-yunk (KENJI03). YUTA himself was heavily involved in the creative process, participating in pre-production from the demo stage to co-create the track.

Positioned as the culmination of a story where the power of reality and dreams collide, this film promises high-stakes action. Between the finality of Zetz's mission and the miraculous crossover with Space Sheriff Gavan, fans are eagerly anticipating the rise of the curtain on this legendary battle.

The Context

Kamen Rider is one of Japan's most iconic "tokusatsu" (special effects) superhero franchises, spanning over five decades since its debut in 1971. Known for its motorcycle-riding, insect-themed heroes, the series is a staple of Japanese pop culture. This film features a crossover with Space Sheriff Gavan, a landmark character from Toei's Metal Hero Series, making it a highly anticipated dream collaboration for tokusatsu fans of multiple generations. Additionally, the involvement of YUTA (Yuta Nakamoto), a Japanese member of the internationally successful South Korean boy band NCT 127, highlights the growing global reach of Japanese pop culture and tokusatsu media.
