Tsuburaya Productions Announces New Ultraman Zero Film for Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary
Tsuburaya Productions has announced the production of a new film, 'Ultraman Zero,' to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman series. This surprise announcement was made during the 'Ultraman Zero 15th Anniversary Grand Finale' event held at 'TsubuCon 2025,' filling the venue with immense cheers and excitement.
Ultraman Zero, who first appeared in 'Mega Monster Battle Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie' in 2009 as the son of Ultraseven, has been a popular character active in numerous works since then. The news of a new film production for him has thrilled not only long-time fans but also a new generation of tokusatsu enthusiasts.
At the event, a video message from Kohji Moritsugu, familiar for his role as Dan Moroboshi, was played, followed by the highly anticipated and dramatic announcement of the new film's production. The audience expressed their joy with comments such as, 'I can't believe I'll get to see Zero in action again, I'm so happy!' and 'My heart is racing with this exciting development!'
Fans are also voicing expectations for the return of Mamoru Miyano, who provides the voice for Ultraman Zero, and the reappearance of Princess Emerana Luludo Esmeralda (played by Tao Tsuchiya), who featured in 'Ultraman Zero: The Movie - Super Deciding Fight! The Belial Galactic Empire.'
This announcement is currently at the 'production confirmed' stage, with no specific release date yet mentioned. Some fans have speculated that 'it can take about three years from production confirmation to release, including pre-production and filming, so it might be released around 2028.' Attention is now focused on future updates. Expectations are high for Ultraman Zero's big-screen return, marking a new chapter in the Ultraman series.
The Context
